A girl’s guide to studying engineering at Uni.

Here is a quick list of 10 things I learned while studying civil/structural engineering at university.  1. Work and study hard to build your knowledge hence building your your confidence. 2. Girls are just as smart if not more intelligent than boys. 3. The boys don’t know everything. 4. Speak up when you know the answer. 5. A sk questions, you’re probably not the only one who doesn't understand a concept. 6. Boys actually enjoy having a girl on their team. 7. You don’t have to be ‘one of the boys’ to fit in. 8. P resent yourself well and they will respect you. 9. Take chances and grab every opportunity that comes your way, as one of very few females there is bound to be interesting opportunities for you. 10. Be smart, be confident and just be you.
