‘People come into your life for a season, a reason or a lifetime’ Unknown.
Biggest lesson of 2014 – Friendship:
The good, the bad and the ugly.
The importance of having true friends was highlighted to me this year, especially during some very tough times.
It’s true that some relationships are only for a season and when they have fulfilled their purpose they end.
I have learnt how to love and nurture valuable friendships and how to take a step back from friendships that are past their ‘best by’ date. People walk in and out of your life and I am certain that everything happens for a reason.
Despite your past imperfections or mistakes, a true friend should love you for who you really are and who you can become.
Some advice I would give to everyone, myself included is; Sometimes you will grow apart from friends because your interests change and their interests change – it is part of life. Cherish those that are around you and love you just the way you are.
