Gratitude and Self-Love

Gratitude: The quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. As we’re already past the halfway point of the year, it’s a good time to reflect on what we have done and what we have.  What I’m most grateful for God -  without my strong faith and belief in God, I wouldn’t be the woman I am today. I’ve been through some tough challenges that I thought I could never get through but here I am today still standing and going after my dreams. I truly thank God.  I know and trust that God has placed me on this earth for a reason. I live to fulfill my purpose that will always glorify God first and make an impact on the lives of others. Becoming a Confident Public Speaker

At the beginning of this year, I was given the wonderful opportunity to experience a full-day workshop with The Public Speaking Academy . As you probably know I would love to become a professional speaker one day (See my goals blog post ), and this course took me one step closer to that dream.  The Public Speaking Academy (PSA) PSA is an organisation that teaches you how to become a great public speaker, and even more importantly they show you how to do it. They do this through their interactive, energetic and friendly workshops. They run their workshops all year round in various locations including Sheffield, Manchester, London, Birmingham, and Leeds. Their trainers are professional speakers who deliver workshops and training in a positive and supportive way that works for each individual.

Top 10 Books to Read

Ever since I was little I was convinced that I’m a slow reader, now in my twenties, I discovered personal development books and this has changed the game!  For the last few years, I’ve been able to read a minimum of a book a month. I realised that these books can help me learn more about myself and how to improve my life. There have been times when I’ve bought a book and read it in a week. Reading has and continues to increase my knowledge and interests in a number of topics: personal development, self-awareness, health, productivity, personalities ( many more ) and my ultimate favourite GOAL setting .

5 Ways to Build Intentional Friendships

We’ve all heard the saying: you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. So it’s absolutely important to have the right type of people around you, this is your inner circle ( your circle of influence ). It’s been proven that we can only have a deep connection with just 5 people at any one time. So if you look at the closest 5 people in your life right now they’re the ones you connect with and are influenced by on a daily basis. The other tens or even hundreds of people you know or call ‘friends’ are actually friendly acquaintances. You can have up to 150 of these people in your life but you can’t have true friendship or influence with so many people at once.   The biggest lesson I’m learning in my twenties is the importance of having and finding true friends. I’ve had to learn this lesson the hard way by getting hurt, bouncing back and knowing my values so that I can go out there and make better friendships.    1. Choose your Friends My mother has

How to Create an Empowering Vision Board

What is a vision board A vision board is a visual representation of your hopes, dreams, and goals. It is a collection of pictures and words put on a board (or paper). Creating a vision board allows you to see daily, all the things you want to do, have and be. My Vision Board I can show you better than I can tell you, here are some of my vision boards. These represent different areas of my life and I plan to keep them for a while. This weekend I plan to create my 2018 vision board. Keep reading and I will explain the different types.
