How‌ ‌Printables‌ ‌Changed‌ ‌my‌ ‌Life‌

If you ever wondered how I got my life together, it’s with the help of printables, calendars and my diary. I’ve been crazy about printables for about 5 years now and this is how it all began.

Life before Printables

When I started my personal development journey, I would write everything down. I had at least 3 notebooks in my bag to keep track of everything.

I had lots of To-Do lists, one for every day, one for the week and one for the month. I was writing a new list every day even though I hadn’t completed the last one. I didn’t even have a diary at the time, so I created my own timetable with pen and paper. (I don’t know how I survived without a diary)

This was my way of clearing my mind of all the clutter. Then one day I was reading about female entrepreneurs and I stumbled upon Michelle Rohr’s blog: https://www.secretowlsociety.org/ This lady has created a very profitable business selling printables online - I was fascinated by her story and I loved all the free printables she was giving away. Every month I downloaded the new printable she was giving away and life got easier and more organised.

Life after printables

This, is what was missing in my life, something that could help me put all my notes, To-Do lists and schedule together. Everything could go on a printable in a category. There are many different categories for printables:

-Life goals
-Health
-Finances
-Recipes
-Home
-Travel

The possibilities are endless - you can find a printable for any area of your life.

Each printable has helped me to plan out different areas of my life, work/ home/ relationships/ goals. It seems so simple (to write things down and put them in an organised way) yet so practical.

Being able to see clearly on paper, everything I was thinking of and wanted to do in my life, helped me to get laser-focused on accomplishing more in my life. I was able to stay on track with my goals and keep up with my never-ending To-Do lists. My life became a lot more productive and organised.

The printables I got also helped me to get my own creative juices flowing. I asked myself: What everyday activities do I do that I need a printable for? I got thinking and saw how every part of my life can have a printable to make things easier.

I began drawing out my own printables and designing them on my laptop - I then invested in Michelle’s course on how to create printables and voila here it is - my very first set of printables.

I’ve created a set of printables that I hope you will enjoy:

CodeGirl: The movie

Event: CodeGirl Movie Screening Venue: Co-operative Head Office, Angel Square. Manchester  On arrival, we were welcomed with a drinks reception and a guest pass to enter. The event began with an introduction from Danielle, one of the organisers [ Ladies of code ] and the tech director of our host The Co-operative Group.  They both focused on the importance of encouraging girls to get involved in tech and to start learning how to code from any age.  The Movie:  T he movie is more of a docu-film, it is about  an  international competition  for girls in high school to take part in. They have   to create an APP that solves a problem within their community. They have to design and code the APP themselves and present a video demo of how it works as part of the competition entry.

How to Plan and Schedule your week: Time Management

My personal development journey began when I got tired of always being late for most things. I couldn't seem to accurately measure how much time I needed for travel and getting ready - I always assumed that it wouldn't take me that long. And I hugely underestimated the unpredictability of public transport, hence the need to allow for extra delays. Last month I went live and spoke about the process I go through to plan and schedule my week. 3 Books that Changed my Life

Getting through my early twenties was a challenge .  (A little scary to admit but I felt completely overwhelmed to become this adult everyone expects you to be).  At times I felt like I had no control over my world, both p ersonally and professionally . I needed to do something about it. And these three books saved me from crumbling.  1. The defining decade by Dr Meg Jay.   I started reading this book just before I hit 25 and honestly, it was a life saver. It helped me realise that this is the decade to define who and what you want to become. Dr Jay as an expert writes about the lies and misconceptions society tells us to believe about what our twenties should look like, the reality, however, can be a little disappointing. And she helps us make sense of it all.   The three main areas  of focus  highlighted in the defining decade are Work; Love; The brain and the body. Work Using your twenties to build your identity in the field of your choice, by building
